The European Health Commissioner Tonio Borg, delivered today a message to patients on the occasion of European Patients’ Rights Day. At this occasion, he referred to the importance of patients empowerment and the right to seek high quality and safety of care. With the mobility of patients conferred by the EU Directive on cross-border healthcare, it is even more crucial to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
